Schools

As an Ontario College of Teachers affiliate, with a Bachelor of Education and teaching qualifications in dance AND special education, we are able to provide quality dance instruction in schools to help meet the needs of the curriculum. We can also provide thorough assessment tools for grading expectations relevant to the Ontario Dance Curriculum.

PRIMARY

In primary grades, students will focus on creativity and expression. Students will start to familiarize themselves with the elements of dance, particularly space, time, and body.

JUNIOR

In Grades 4 - 6, students will deepen their dance knowledge. They will identify, demonstrate, and combine all elements of dance, and learn about the use of choreographic forms.

INTERMEDIATE

In Grades 7 and 8, students will utilize the elements of dance in their own choreographies. Choreographies will explore ideas and concepts relevant to students, and will make use of choreographic forms.

SECONDARY SCHOOL

At the high school level, students are expected to explore styles from around the world. We are able to offer information and short routines in numerous styles to allow for the exploration of different types of dance.
